Some movement drills, walking, jogging and a few warm up drills.
4 – 100 yard sprints
3 sets of 15
One set each of a few exercises
Kept it simple today. One or two sets of moderate weight for moderate reps…
Incline Bench Press
DB Bicep Curl
After a nice two week break got back into the swing of things…
Sprints and Stretching
A few warm up exercises, including glute bridging
Stationary Bike Sprints
5 minute warmup pedal
6 10 second sprints on the top of each minute
3 minute cool down pedal
Misc stretching of calves, hips, shoulders
A nice way to get back into “working out”.
Today I did 1 set of a bunch of exercises split throughout the day. A few here and there, a few the next hour, a few more a couple hours later. Heavy enough to get about 5 good reps.
DB clean, DB front squat, Pullup, bench press, suitcase deadlift, standing press, single arm negative Pullup, and a few others, whatever I felt like doing.
Playing at the park the last two days with my boys…
Friday in Yorba Linda:
This was great for obstacle course runs and was a little bit on the bigger side so presented a nice challenge for me as well as the boys.
Saturday in downtown Fullerton:
Great for climbing and transversing, pullups, swinging and just some different movement challenges.
Two very cool play dates…
Today I hiked. Took a little trail around the corner and walked through a gully. Got some sun, some exercise and felt great.
Yesterday a fellow trainer said he tried the following workout: deadlift (60% of your max) as many reps as possible (AMRAP) in 12 minutes. He said I should try it so today I did…
AMRAP 60% Deadlift in 12 minutes
112 rep at 225 lbs.
My max deadlift is about 375 so 225 was just right.
Good workout, time to walk it off…
Today I only had about 30 minutes to exercise and decided to just film some exercise videos for my You Tube channel. Filmed some treadmill incline sprints, some jumping, a little bicep work, a few rowing/pulling exercises and a few core exercises.
Here’s one of the links.
Today I went to the park with my friend and fellow natural mover Bryan (of Frontdive Fitness). We threw the frisbee around, climbed some trees and did some pullups, played on the playground, swung on the swings and just hung out. A great time with some sun and activity built in.
